Do you have Linux running at home and have questions on installing Lotus products on your machine? Do you have questions on Linux or how to install the conference CD provided in your bag? Are you curious about Linux and have usage questions or concerns? Then come to the Installfest!

Joe Litton (Twitter: joelitton) and Bill Malchisky (Twitter: BillMalchisky) will host the first focused install festival (i.e. Installfest) at Lotusphere. We will specifically provide two types of assistance:

(1) Installing a new Linux desktop and the IBM Client for Smart Work, which includes Ubuntu 9.10 onto machines
(2) Installing Lotus Notes, Symphony, Sametime Connect, etc. for those attendees that have a Linux build already but would like some guidance

Note:
Red Hat has generously provided Live Discs for all attendees
Canonical has generously provided additional copies of Ubuntu 9.10 and the IBM Client for Smart Work

Andrew and I have finally unveiled the Certified Unofficial Lotusphere Tee (C.U.L.T.) shirts for this year, and so far they have been very popular. We were fortunate to pick up on the Lotusphere 2010 theme for this year, "Lotus Knows...", fairly early and Andrew and I both decided that a play off of this theme - "Lotus Nose..." - could be a lot of fun. I asked you, gentle readers, for some suggestions of what Lotus Knows - and you responded quite enthusiastically. Andrew and I took these suggestions, added a few of our own, and picked a top 10 list to add to the back of the shirt. The results are below.


Here's the front of the shirt. I think the nose turned out quite well. Andrew does all of the artwork for our shirts, and he's gotten pretty good.


The back of the shirt contains the Top 10 list, as well as the sponsor logos.

I am very excited to announce a Lotusphere mini Tweet-up at the Opening Reception.  This mini networking event will allow business partners, clients, and friends that are active within the social space to connect and meet in real life.

So far, we have had a very warm response from the community to the tweet-up and I wanted to personally extend the invite to anyone else who is able to join at 6.30PM at the Sunday night Opening Reception.  If you are interested in attending or assisting with the tweet-up, please feel free to ping, email or tweet.
